Will you look at my gun?  Yes, my consult fee of $25.00 applies for all visits to the shop for repair inquiries, identifying, or advising you on your firearm. The fee will be waved if you contract me for service. I do not train or advise any amateur gunsmiths or do-it-your-selfers.

I just want to talk to you about my gun. In order to make a living I must focus all my work time on paying jobs, but I'd be happy to speak with you at any of the clubs or meetings I attend after work.

Safety:  No loaded firearms are allowed in my shop, parking area, or property. Exception for  those individuals licensed by Minnesota to carry a pistol if the gun remains holstered. Guns must be cased while on my property. Do not bring any tools to my shop. No assembly, disassembly, repair, or work of any kind may be performed by any customer on my property. IF YOU HAVE A GUN YOU CAN NOT UN-LOAD CALL ME FOR INSTRUCTIONS!

What are your hours? Wednesday & Friday 9:00 to 5:00. Please schedule an appointment by email, I do not accept drop ins.

Can I phone you?  I am using email only now. I do not pick up the phone while I'm working on guns and that is most of the day.

Do you sell guns? Yes, new guns only, click here for more info and brands New gun sales MN . I sell U.S. and foreign manufactured sporting, target, and self defense firearms and any legal U.S. military style firearms (except class 3). All Federal, State, and local laws apply, no exception!

Any guns you don't sell or do FFL transfers?  I do not sell or transfer any AK style rifle or shotgun, SKS, or other non-U.S. military semi-autos, any Saturday Night Specials (low melting point alloy guns), "drive by" or "throw away" guns.  No class 3 - full auto, short barrels, or silencers. Do not ask, I'm not interested. Verify with me before having the gun shipped to my shop. Any gun that I must return for any valid reason is your financial responsibility, not mine. All Federal, State, and local laws apply, no exception!

Why no AK's, Saigas, SKS, etc.?  You can not easily determine if they have illegal modifications and I'm not a lawyer.

H*******, K*****, etc are legal guns in most states why won't you sell or transfer them?  They are in my opinion poor quality, un-reliable, and too often misused for no good.

I see guns for sell on the internet at very low prices how do I buy one? See my FFL Transfer page FFL Transfers MN.

Any advice or opinions on internet sales?  Make sure that low price gun is really available and not a bait and switch. Make sure the seller is reliable, after all he will have both your money and your gun until it arrives at my shop. Make sure you read the fine print of all their policies, you are not going to receive the same terms you would from a local store.

Internet sales have become a very low profit, commodity business. If you need more service, advice, or have special requests, go to a full service stocking gun shop and be willing to pay for their expertise, service, and convenience. Also remember that internet sales are usually not taxed, while local sales are. You are not supporting your local government when you buy out of state.

Do you require a MN permit to purchase a hand gun or MN concealed carry permit to buy or transfer an assault rifle? Yes I do and no, I do not wish to debate any gun laws pro or con.

I have a concealed carry permit from another state will that work?  Sorry but no, must be MN issued.

What guns do you service?  I will repair most models of Browning, Winchester, Remington, Colt, Marlin, Mossberg, Ithaca, Iver Johnson, H&R, Hi Standard, Ruger, Savage, Stevens, Springfield, Smith & Wesson, Dan Wesson, Weatherby, Beretta, Benelli, Glock, HK, FN, Miroku, SKB, and CZ. I also service many store brand guns that were actually made by the above manufactures. See Gun Repair for more info.

What do you not work on?  I do not service low quality firearms, "Saturday night specials", "drive by", or "throw away" guns. I do not service any AK style rifle or shotgun, any SKS, Moisen Nagant, or any foreign manufactured military guns.

I also do not service any  Kreighoff, Perazzi, Kolar, Cesar Guerini, Blaser, Parker, LC Smith, British, German, and Spanish SxS doubles. No Damascus barreled guns, no air guns, no air soft, no archery, and no black powder. No class 3 work of any kind.

I'm an amateur gunsmith or a do-it-my selfer, will you do the following:

Advise me? Sorry but no. I'm a professional full time gunsmith this is my lively hood, I have to make a living, I do so by selling services and products.

Train me? No thanks, I have enough competitors.

Let me watch you work? No, it is the same as training.

Do part of the work I can't do?  No I only do complete full service jobs.

Will you do a full auto conversion, silencer, or sub legal barrel?  No, No, and No. Don't ask, it is insulting to a law abiding professional gunsmith.

I'm on a tight budget, will you do a patch job or partial repair? Sorry but no, I only do complete full inspections and repairs. My goal is to provide the safest work possible and I developed my policies based on quality over volume. See Gun Repair , Professional Cleaning vs. Quick Clean , and Policies & Disclaimer

Do you sell parts?  No not over the counter, only ones I install myself, see Parts & Accessories.

Will you install a part or accessory I purchased else where?   No, only those purchased from me.

I'd like to speak to you about gun laws/rights/militia/politics/business/etc.  You are free to advocate for any cause you like, but this is my vocation and I always follow the laws of the land and expect my customers to as well. In order to make a living I must focus all my work time on paying jobs, but I'd be happy to speak with you at any of the clubs or meetings I attend after work.
